COVID-19 is a respiratory disease that can be lethal and does not have a cure yet. This virus is mainly spread from person to person by:
- People who are in close contact or closer than 6ft apart.
- Respiratory droplets that are inhaled or that land in other people’s mouths and noses.
- Talking to someone who is infected and the saliva lands on the other person’s mouth or nose.
- People that are sick and are more likely to have low defenses.
This virus has very similar symptoms to flu or a cold:
- Difficulty breathing.
- Fever.
- Cough.
- Symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure.

How to avoid it?:
- STAY HOME, and go outside only if it is necessary.
- Wash your hands often and with soap for more than 25 seconds.
- Use hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Use face mask if you go out and avoid close contact with someone else.
- When you get home take your mask and shoes off, wash your hands, change clothes, and if possible it is better to take a shower.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces various times a day.
- Drink a lot of water.

Even though old adults are at high risk more than anyone else, that does not mean that younger adults and children are exempt from this deadly illness. Everyone should follow social distancing and practice what was previously mentiones in order to keep safe your loved ones.
Is important to clarify that some people DO NOT show symptoms at all but are able to pass the virus to someone else, and this is why is very important for everyone to stay home and practice social distancing. This will not only keep you safe but also everyone around you that may not be as healthy as you.
