My last post was about planning your days in advance in order to have a better organization in your life and have a higher encouragement to meet your tasks and goals.
As human beings we develop activities more efficiently if we have been generating that task previously and repeatedly, so when we have to face a new activity we are forced to put an extra effort due to the inexperience. A similar situation happens when we add or modify something in our routine (like getting up at a different time or eating later than usual) because is like a new experience to our brain.
Creating a habit has the same impact due to the dedication we have to make in order to complete a task every day, but it does not mean that is impossible or not healthy for you. A great example is the importance to incorporate the habit of drinking water in your life, which you may have heard before is very good for your health but kind of difficult to make it a consecutive behavior. Here are some tips that might help you to keep this a habit and stay hydrated:
- If it is difficult for you to drink water because you don’t like its “flavor” you can try to put a little bit of lemon juice. Remember that water is the better way to stay hydrated but it is not the only way

- Drink water as soon as you get up; keeping a water bottle next to your bed will help you remember.
- Eating fruit will keep you hydrated too (and it is healthy too) and it can be a really good part of your breakfast.

- Drink water before you get thirsty, this means that the body is already with way less fluid than needed and the point is to prevent that.
- Buy a water bottle and carry it with you at all times. Try to place it close to the door so you don’t forget it on your way out and avoid non-reusable plastic bottles (this is eco-friendly :))

A good way to keep track of your progress is to analyze the color of your urine, this means that the lighter the yellow is the better. Also try to avoid caffeine and sugars given that this affects your hydration process and the color of your urine too.
When life places stones in your path, be the water. A persistent drop of water will wear away even the hardest stone
